JAPANESE CONGRESSMAN VISITED AND WORKED ON VAN PHONG ECONOMIC ZONE

To welcome and work with Japanese congressman – Mr. Hirofumi RYU and his delegation

In the working session, Management Board introduced the overview of Khanh Hoa province’s socio-economic development conditions, introduced the construction master plan of Van Phong EZ; potentials and competitive advantages, the planning orientation, the investment and development attraction of Van Phong EZ in the North and South Van Phong. At the same time, Management Board focused on introducing some large-scale projects that Japanese investors did and were going to implement such as: BOT Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant of Sumitomo Corporation; Nanotek Corporation is approaching to invest in the industrial zone for producing electric cars and auxiliary equipments, power equipments. Furthermore, Management Board also discussed the development of the relationship between Khanh Hoa province and Osaka prefecture, Japan through “The Conference of promoting the investment, tourism and trade between Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa- Japan 2018” as held on September 05^th, 2018 in Osaka prefecture, Japan.

After the introduction of Khanh Hoa province and Van Phong EZ, Mr. Hirofumi Ryu highly appreciated the landscape, natural conditions and potentials for cooperation and development in many fields such as the tourism, the industry between Japanese enterprises and Khanh Hoa province. Mr. Hirofumi Ryu and his delegation affirmed their support and will propose to Japanese Government in considering ODA funds in order to invest and develop infrastructure projects of Van Phong EZ in the near future.
