Ministry of Industry & Trade and Sumitomo Corp signed investment agreement for the BOT Thermal Power Plant Van Phong 1
On 25/5/2017, Ministry of Industry and trade and Sumitomo Corporation has signed investment agreement for BOT Thermal power plant Van Phong 1. This is an important project has motivated for Van Phong economic zone with a total registered capital is 2 billion dollars; the scale is 1,320 MW; investment location in South VanPhong (in Ninh Phuoc commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province).
As planned, the project will be granted registered investment vertificate by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in July 2017 and will commence in the first quarter of 2018. Investment project invest in Van Phong Economic Zone will boost the economic relationship between Vietnam-Japan. At the same time, to facilitate the economic development of Van Phong Economic Zone in particular and Khanh Hoa Province in general.
